In the winter semester 2025/26, a Peer-Program for students in their first semester will be offered for the Sport and Health Science Bachelor's and Master's degree courses. If you are currently studying one of the Sports or Health Science Bachelor's and Master's degree courses and are in the higher semester, we would be delighted to hear about your commitment and participation in the Peer-Program.
As part of the Peer-Program, students from higher semesters support new students (Freshmen) as they start their studies. These so-called Tutors accompany students through the first semester and the beginning of the second semester and act as contact persons for questions about their studies as well as study and leisure life in the city of Munich.
If you have some time and the willingness to get involved, we would be pleased if you would contact us by e-mail until the approximately 06.10.2025 at peer.sto(at)mh.tum.de with the subject 'Tutor' and provide the following information that will enable a good match with your Freshman:
- Age, gender, country of origin, semester and course of study, hobbies/interests
- Preference of the Freshman (country of origin, gender, etc.)
- Extent of support you can offer your Freshman (i.e. are you only available for administrative support or would you also like to spend time with your Freshman on leisure activities, etc.)?
- Would you like to get in touch with one Freshman or several?
We look forward to hearing from you!
The activities offered by the Student Advisory Service of the TUM School of Medicine and Health vary each year. The type of activities is determined by the Tutors & Freshmen themselves. The aim is to involve the participants in a participatory manner and thus tailor the activities to the Peer-Program cohort. Below you will find a list of the activities that have been offered in recent years.
- Christmas market bazaar
- Bavarian Food Event
- Bowling
- Quiz duel
- Bar hopping
- Day trip
- Final evaluation meeting
In addition to the activities listed, the Freshmen and Tutors also have the opportunity to meet up outside the fixed meetings and get to know each other better.
After completing the Peer-Program, Tutors can obtain a certificate of participation for their volunteer work and use it for their CV. To receive confirmation, please send a detailed email to peer.sto(at)mh.tum.de and we will send you the certificate.
