At the TUM School of Medicine and Health at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), medical students are trained during the clinical study phase after successfully passing the first section of the medical examination. The pre-clinical studies are organised across universities as a joint training program between Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and TUM and take place largely at LMU.
More than 1,600 students attend the clinical study program at TUM. The common goal of the Hospital rechts der Isar and the TUM School of Medicine and Health is to develop scientific findings through outstanding research that serve both the fundamental understanding of disease processes and directly benefit patients. It is therefore also a major concern to prepare students for their future careers using the latest knowledge and with human commitment.
This commitment pays off - in a nationwide comparison of medical state examination results, TUM has consistently ranked among the top places for years.
The Student Office team at the University Hospital rechts der Isar enables a smooth implementation of the Human Medicine program (clinical part and practical year) through on demand curriculum management and supports the teaching departments in organizational matters related to teaching
