The TUM School of Medicine and Health fosters a culture of democracy, appreciation, openness and diversity. Regardless of gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion and ideology, disability, age, marital status, sexual identity and first language, the School MH promotes equality among its employees and students.
Diversity Management is a unit of the "Talent Management and Diversity" department at School MH, which plays a key role in developing, shaping and supporting the School's gender and diversity strategy and is therefore a key strategic instrument for excellent science and research.
We work closely with the women's representatives and the equal opportunities officer at the University Hospital rechts der Isar zusammen. We are also networked with the TUM-wide equal opportunities stakeholders. Diversity Management reports to Univ.-Prof. Dr. Renate Oberhoffer-Fritz, the current Vice Dean for Talent Management & Diversity at the School MH.
The tasks include:
- Co-developing, designing and implementing diversity measures at School MH to inspire excellent research and scholarship. This includes: Advice on measures, implementation of training, network meetings and much more.
- Planning project days (e.g. Diversity Week, Girls-Boys-Days, Diversity Awards etc.)
- Public relations work on equal opportunities issues and diversity
Equal Opportunities in Research Units
We support and advise our DFG research consortia at the TUM School of Medicine and Health starting with the submission of proposals up to the implementation of measures, network meetings and evaluations. Thanks to our close exchange with the nationwide "Gender & Diversity Consulting" network and our contact with DFG officers, we are always up to date with the latest DFG guidelines on equal opportunities and diversity.
