The TUM School of Medicine and Health is also involved in the model project BeLa program (Beste Landpartie Allgemeinmedizin).
The BeLa program is a training project funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Health and run by the Institute of General Practice at the Technical University of Munich in cooperation with the clinics and GPs in the training regions of Dillingen a.d. Donau, Eichstätt/Kösching and Mühldorf am Inn. Participants in the BeLA program receive exciting, well-structured and practice-oriented training with personal support and early promotion of independent medical practice.
The aim of the BeLA program is to provide future doctors with a close relationship to general medicine and rural regions throughout their studies in order to be able to guarantee a high level of medical care that is comprehensive and as close to home as possible in the future. The program builds a bridge between medical training and general practice (see also STMGP Bavaria).
Entry to the BeLa program is possible from the 5th semester and requires participation in the general practice class. Advantages of the general practice class at a glance:
