In the winter semester 2025/26, a Peer-Program will be offered for students in their first semester of Sports and Health Science Bachelor's and Master's degree courses. If you are a first-semester student on a Bachelor's or Master's degree course in Sport or Health Sciences, we would be delighted to welcome you to the Peer-Program.
As part of the Peer-Program, students from higher semesters support new students (Freshmen) as they start their studies. These so-called Tutors accompany students through the first semester and the beginning of the second semester and act as contact persons for questions about their studies as well as study and leisure life in the city of Munich.
If you are starting your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports or Health Science in the winter semester 2025/26 and would like to be matched with a student from a higher semester, please send an email with the subject "Freshman" to peer.sto(at)mh.tum.de by approximately 06.10.2025 at the latest. To enable the best possible matching with a Tutor, we would appreciate the following information in the email
- Your age, gender, country of origin, degree program, hobbies/interests
- Tutor-preferences (country of origin, gender, etc.)
- Type of support you would like (i.e. are you only looking for someone for organizational study-related questions or would you also be happy to do leisure activities together)
Unfortunately, due to the high number of first-semester students and requests for the Peer-Program, it is not guaranteed that everyone will be assigned a Tutor. If we are unable to match you with a Tutor, we will contact you by email.
- Help with registering for exams/lectures
- Clarification of questions about studying and the degree program
- Learning together
- Cultural and other activities
- Cooking together, doing sports and exploring the city
All the activities you want to do
Communicate with your Tutor about your wishes, ask questions and use the contact with higher semester students for leisure activities as well as study and organizational matters.
The activities offered by the Student Advisory Service of the TUM School of Medicine and Health vary each year. The type of activities is determined by the Tutors & Freshmen themselves. The aim is to involve the participants in a participatory manner and thus tailor the activities to the Peer-Program cohort. Below you will find a list of the activities that have been offered in recent years.
- Christmas market bazaar
- Bavarian Food Event
- Bowling
- Quiz duel
- Bar hopping
- Day trip
- Final evaluation meeting
In addition to the activities listed, the Tutors and Freshmen also have the opportunity to meet up outside the fixed meetings and get to know each other better.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at peer.sto(at)mh.tum.de or contact your Tutor.
