Erasmus+ Internship abroad
The administration of internships abroad is handled by the TUM Global & Alumni Office. Unfortunately, internships abroad can not be arranged.

Information can be found in the database of German schools abroad. Applications are made directly to the respective school.
Information internships at schools abroad
Funding is available through the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) within the framework of a short-term scholarship program (worldwide and EU). Applications must be submitted 2 months before the start of the internship.
Sponsored are stays between 40 days and 3 months. Longer stays are only possible without funding. The support by the DAAD is about € 300 mtl. + a travel allowance. Insurance must be taken out separately. Already existing language skills are mandatory!
Support from the local branch of IASTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) Munich is possible (engineering and natural sciences, but also related disciplines, i.e. health sciences)
- The DAAD also supports stays abroad. For example, travel grants are available for internships outside of Europe if the internships are arranged. However, insurance is not included, but can be arranged through the DAAD at low cost (from 29 euros per month). Health, accident and liability insurance is mandatory.

The DAAD service RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) supports research internships with doctoral students abroad, who are accompanied and supported in their research (RISE worldwide). Applications are possible for Bachelor students between the 2nd and 5th semester. The funding period is a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 3 months.
