In 2019, Department Representatives for equal opportunities were appointed in 35 institutes and clinics with more than 20 academic staff. In total, these are now 42 people due to double appointments. Their tasks are as follows:
Contact person within their Department on the subject of equal opportunities/diversity and the advancement of women/families
Assessing the current situation in their Department and developing and implementing gender and diversity measures in collaboration with the clinic/institute management
Collaboration with the Women's/Equal Opportunities Officer and the Talent Management and Diversity Team
Participation in the school/clinic internal Department Representative conferences (approx. 3 times/year, 1-2 hours each; led by Talent Management and Diversity Team + Women's/Equal Opportunities Officer)
The aims of this unique nationwide project are to increase the visibility of the topic, create cross-institutional networking and develop models tailored to the clinics/institutes, thereby increasing the likelihood of feasibility.

Bridging maternity leave
Core working hours for meetings
Rotation for specialist training
New work models: options for making working hours more flexible
Concept for the implementation of paid research time
Implementation of the recommendation of the German Rectors' Conference "Against sexualized discrimination and sexual harassment at universities"
Dual leadership and part-time management
Increasing the number of female managers
