Bachelor course of studies: Health Science, B.Sc. degree
This course of studies is directed toward new students who wish to gain qualifications for the health sector and for its particular interdisciplinary sections. Scholastic performance in mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences are highly relevant. Good English proficiency is to be expected since the course of studies contains English components with the goal of promoting internationalism. Students who have demonstrated commitment in their local communities will have a good basis to identify personal areas of interest in the health field.
Bachelor course of studies: Sport science, B.Sc. degree
Due to the continuous development of our programs, and based on the results of our evaluations, the previous Bachelor course of studies entitled the "Scientific Principles of Sports" has been fundamentally revised. Beginning in the winter semester of 2014/2015, the course of studies will be offered under the name of "Sport Science". This new course will contain optimized contents and adjusted admissions criteria.
The course of studies provides the student with both a scientific and methodological understanding of sport.
Master course of studies: Sport and Exercise Science, M.Sc. degree
The new "Sport and Exercise M.Sc" program is designed to provide students with a both a broad understanding of, and the opportunity to specialize in the major areas of scientific research in the field of sport. These areas are: Biomechanics and Neuroscience, Exercise Biology and Training Science, Psychology and Social Science, and Research skills. However, the goal of this Master's program is also to develop entrepreneurial graduates with considerable soft skills. These skills will be developed through structured debates, oral presentations, independent research, and scientific writing.
Master course of studies: Health Science - Prevention and Health Promotion, M.Sc. degree
Students of this program will engage with the bio-psycho-social concept of health in great depth. The study design follows the WHO definition of health: "A complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". The focus therefore lies on health promotion and prevention.
