The Medical Training Center (MTC) opened in 2014. Since then, TUM medical students have been training essential skills and abilities for later contact with their patients there. The compulsory course modules, which build on each other, enable students to expand their skills each semester in a realistic learning environment under professional supervision. On the one hand, realistic models and modern patient simulators are used, and on the other, we work closely with qualified simulators to prepare our students for their everyday clinical work in the best possible way.
All training scenarios are recorded using a modern audio-video system and then debriefed in detail by the trained lecturers. The clinical staff at the MRI also make regular use of this opportunity.
To ensure the quality of the courses and check their effectiveness, our course modules are regularly accompanied by research projects.
